Winner of the  National Opera Institute's Bronze Career Medal and Career Awards Grant, baritone Peter Lightfoot has captivated critics and audiences alike with what Opera News has called his "vocal brilliance."
Mr. Lightfoot has performed numerous major roles with the New York City Opera, Greater Miami Opera, L'Opera de Nice, Hawaii Opera Theater, Houston Grand Opera, Opera Orchestra of New York, Mexico City Opera, and the Knoxville Opera.  He has appeared with the orchestras of San Francisco, Houston, Pittsburgh, Toronto, Dallas, Nashville, Sacramento, Knoxville, Tucson, Long Beach and Kalamazoo.  In addition Mr. Lightfoot has been heard on PBS and National Public Radio.
Peter Lightfoot was born in New York and holds degrees from the Julliard School, Tufts University and Columbia University.  He is the winner of a Sullivan Foundation grant, the 1982 Boston Opera Competition, and was a finalist in the Luciano Pavorotti Competition.
